This is a 2-year Research & Development, Connected Car Engineering - Offboard System Test role, with a 2025 start date, but it's not about sitting on the side-lines. You'll be a valued member of the team from day one, gaining hands-on experience and working alongside industry experts. Check out more info: Graduates at Cranfield - Careers at nissan Main Tasks & Responsibilities You will work with our connected car systems which the customer uses to remotely control their car via their smartphone. This includes the Nissan Connect App, Online store and their interaction with multiple offboard systems to enable features such as Stolen Vehicle Tracking, remote commands, intelligent route planner, Apple watch control and more!

  • Perform testing for connected car services in the vehicle related to the Nissan Connect mobile app and smartwatch.
  • Planning the test resources to be available before the start of the validation
  • Defining test cases based on technical specifications of connected car features.
  • Confirming vehicle level quality, function & reliability standards are maintained when changes are implemented.
  • Raise incident tickets in the incident management system and track them through to closure.
  • Formally reporting the closure status and test results to upper management.
  • Market quality investigations and countermeasure development, when needed
  • Skills you would develop:
  • Software validation project management
  • Supplier management
  • Software development process (V-cycle)
  • Software risk analysis and test definition
  • Software quality concern management and resolution (Jira, Test Rail etc)
  • Root cause analysis and problem solving

    You must hold the following qualification(s): Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree graded 2:1 or above.
  • + Electronic/Electrical Engineering + Computer Science + Computer Networking + Telecoms and networking + IT / Data analyst
  • Sufficient evidence of your right to work in the UK will be required. The validity of your right to work in the UK or VISA must extend until September 2027 in order for you to qualify for this position.

  • Competitive base salary starting at £33,904
