Connected Carers Social Worker - Wigan Council

• Undertake Connected Carers Assessments, Viability Assessments, and Regulation 24 Assessments.
• Provide ongoing supervision and support to Friends and Family Foster Carers subject to Regulation 24.
• Champion the safety and stability of children, ensuring practice is regulatory compliant and child-focused.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with children, carers, and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with partners, including education services, the NHS, and Start Well teams.

• Deliver high-quality social work practice, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
• Embed the Family Safeguarding Model into practice, championing trauma-informed approaches.
• Undertake direct work with children and families, identifying strengths, addressing vulnerabilities, and reducing risks.
• Maintain accurate, jargon-free case records using Liquid Logic.
• Participate in court proceedings and contribute to the development of services for children and families.
  
  A Social Work Qualification (Degree or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• At least 3 years' experience in children's services.
• A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle.
