Full Job Description

Are you passionate about caring for the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Conservation team as a Conservation Advisor working with your colleagues to manage the habitats on our land. This will include implementing conservation plans to provide a positive contribution to biodiversity. You will be responsible for ensuring conservation guidance is provided within agreed timescales, supported by a Conservation Specialist where required. This ensures recommendations are accurate to maintain trust and confidence. Within this role you will be supporting the management of risks such as tree safety and invasive non-native species. In addition, you will ensure existing and new conservation data in the Geographical Information System (GIS) is correct. This means you will work with colleagues to support surveys of our landholdings. The role will include working outdoors in all weathers, and there may be occasions when you will be working alone.

If you have demonstrable experience of conservation practices including managing a range of habitats, we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will have a technical knowledge of conservation and biodiversity including legislation and policies. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders to ensure effective engagement. In addition, you will have an awareness of licensing processes for protected species to support the business. You will enjoy developing your knowledge of NWL's legal environmental obligations to ensure we remain compliant. A full UK driving licence is essential for the role.

Working hours (Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part time will be considered) Permanent Salary £26,503-£33,129 depending on experience, We're a Great Place to Work because of the amazing people who work for us, and to say thank you we offer a range of benefits to colleagues.
