Full Job Description

Cell Area Construction Manager Reporting to the Cell Area Project Management Lead, with direct line management over the Area s Work Pack Engineers. The role will be a key part of the Project Management Area Teams as we look to obtain bulk construction completion and handover the area to the operator. This role will cover all aspects of the scope at hand across each Cell Area, including, M&E services, RC, doors, Process Plant and Equipment and Architectural Fit Out (AFO).,

  • Review of all available documentation and drawings to gain an in depth understanding of the works involved.
  • Management and direction to the Work Pack Engineers, ensuring they carry out their roles and responsibilities.
  • Ownership and responsibility for co-ordination of all construction activities within the Area.
  • Ownership and responsibility in ensuring adherence to the Programme, with a particular focus on our 6 week look ahead drum beat.
  • Co-ordination with, and management of all supply chain construction leads operating in the Area.
  • Co-ordination with various stakeholders, client, designer, engineering, commercial etc. to ensure progression and adherence to the programme.
  • Supporting the Project Manager and owning and developing the medium-term Cell Programmes
  • Leading of the Construction Sequencing sessions with all suppliers and directing the co-ordination of activities on site
  • Monitoring and reporting against progress each period
  • Ensuring delivery of a right first-time outcome

  • Flexibility to be offered as part of co-ordination between Area Team Members, Work Pack Engineers, Construction Managers and Area Leads.

  • Promoting the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement, driving innovation, adopting best practice, standard processes and procedures

    We are looking Construction Managers with experience in Process Plant and Equipment, M&E and Building Fit Out to join our defence sector, which includes a contract at a facility near Reading.
  • The roles require Security Clearance at SC level with some to DV level, therefore the ability to obtain clearance is essential. 5 years continuous residency in the UK and UK Citizenship is required.,
  • Must hold a CSCS card
  • SMSTS or equivalent is preferred
  • Security Clearance at SC or above already held is preferred
  • Prior experience in Defence/High Assurance Level projects is preferred
  • Lifting AP beneficial
  • TWC beneficial
