From design verification, the early stage of ensuring new pressure equipment is manufactured safely and to all appropriate standards, to conformity assessments, when it is approved as market ready, and a whole more, our team are vital when it comes to the production of new pressure equipment. What will you be doing? As Consultancy Engineer, you will be issuing final product/system certification and giving advice on pressure equipment related issues, which will enable our clients to carry out their business to the highest standards. The role will involve keeping up with the latest industry trends, design codes, guidance and legislation and you will be required to grow and rise to new challenges that are presented to you. You will:

  • Complete design reviews to ensure customers' documentation complies with relevant standards and regulations
  • Manage contracts efficiently and to service standards, targets and time scales
  • Ensure your technical knowledge is regularly reviewed and updated
  • Ensure compliance with regulators
  • Provide customers with a timely response
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and other departments
  • Provide pricing within the consultancy operating licence frameworks

    Ideally, our Consultancy Pressure Engineer will be educated to Degree level in Engineering and/or offer Chartered status. HND/C with substantial experience is minimum requirement.
  • Thorough knowledge of Pressure Systems and Equipment - Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pipework, Skid Packages and Associated Equipment
  • Knowledge of all pressure related regulations including but not limited to: PED/PE(s)R, ADR, PSSR
  • Resilient and tenacious with the ability to use your problem-solving skills to resolve issues and queries.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Engineering discipline and an appreciation of the legal and regulatory framework in which operates.
  • Most importantly you will be prepared to go the extra mile and get stuck in wherever you are needed.

    A minimum standard starting salary of £50,000 depending on experience and location
