Full Job Description

We are seeking a Consultancy Support Officer to provide administrative assistance to our consultancy a team, particularly with regard to business development, client support and communications.

We specifically welcome applications from people looking for part-time work and/or flexible hours. We have an office in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, where you will be expected to work from on a regular basis (2 days/week minimum).

Duties & Responsibilities

Client Support

  • Help to keep our client tracking systems up to date

  • Booking meetings for the team

  • Client outreach, liaison and follow up

  • Business development support


  • Project Support
  • Desk-based research either for projects or internal needs

  • Creating template reports, proposals and documents

  • Spreadsheet data input, updating and analysis

  • Assist with data requests from clients, collection and filing as well as downloading data from online portals

  • Take notes in meetings and share key updates


  • Communications
  • Help organise our online and in-person events

  • Help to keep our website up to date

  • Provide social media support

  • Take the lead on new marketing and communication initiatives, We work on all aspects of heat networks - both communal and district schemes - to improve their performance for clients and customers including:

  • Strategy and approach

  • Performance and design

  • Data and data management

  • Metering and billing

  • Regulation and compliance

  • Management and governance

  • Customer communications

    Our Clients: Our clients are housing and property managers that operate heat networks, with a focus on networks that serve social housing with end customers on low incomes and in underserved communities. This includes, but is not exclusive to, Housing Associations, Local Authorities and Managing Agents.

  • A-level standard education

  • At least 12 months administrative experience

  • General office experience (ie filing systems, processes, databases, etc)

  • Numeracy skills including sound spreadsheet experience

  • Good working experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Good working experience using email

  • Excellent communication / interpersonal skills

  • Highly organised and attention to detail

  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge

  • Flexible approach and willing to support team at all levels

  • Team player

  • 'Can-do' attitude

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues


  • Desirable:
  • Sales / business development experience

  • Communication responsibilities

  • Experience with a housing, energy or environmental organisation

  • Able to contribute effectively to discussions

  • Personal interest in environmental issues, A-Level or equivalent (preferred)


  • Experience:
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (required)
