In addition to strong interests in medical education and service improvement, including enhanced recovery and pain management, our Consultants enhance the profile of the department through their engagement in a variety of wider Trust activities and transformation work., In this role you will be required to contribute to the provision of anaesthetic services across the Trust as part of a team of 33 Consultants, 3 Specialists,10 SAS doctors and 24 trainees. Alongside the usual range of district hospital surgical specialities, here at Salisbury we have a regional Plastic Surgery and Burns service and a supra-regional Spinal Injuries service.

This is a 10 PA post (initially 8.5 DCC PA:1.5 SPA), but it is likely that an additional programmed activity could be offered to the successful candidate. The proportion of SPA would increase in line with increasing responsibilities after appointment. The successful applicant would take part in the general on call rota with a frequency of 1:16., We support flexible working and will consider requests taking into account the needs of the service.
