Full Job Description

Consultant Analysts will join our Aspire Programme where successful candidates will undertake an intensive and comprehensive 1-2 year induction programme at the end of which they will become a fully-fledged Management Consultant. This programme will provide experience of every aspect of our business and involvement in real client work. You will be working directly with our clients to ensure that their transformation projects successfully deliver what their business actually needs and demonstrating the advantages of the Altus approach. This is a great opportunity to further develop your financial services change experience, gain consultancy skills, and obtain exposure to a number of high-profile financial services clients while being fully supported through a training framework and a supportive ecosystem that offers real potential for promotion and growth., How to be a consultant - Learning what a consultant does, and the principles and ethics that sit behind it

  • Business change cycle - Understanding why and how businesses change - and where and how consultants help
  • Techniques in business and technical architecture - Learning to apply the catalogue of methods deployed by Altus at clients
  • Methodology in change and project delivery - Learning to apply APEX, the Altus Programme Delivery Framework on client engagements
  • Stakeholder management - Building the skills required to bring together the different disciplines and stakeholders required to make change a success
  • Presentation and communication skills - Gaining the ability to hold the attention of a senior audience and to convey complex choices through the use of clear explanation and visualisation
  • Effective client engagements and impactful deliverables - Ensuring that our clients are not purchasing "shelf-ware", Altus deliverables must have a valuable and significant life beyond their delivery
  • Getting to grips with FS Regulations - Getting to know the regulatory frameworks that govern and safeguard the industry.
  • Thought leadership & marketing - Producing material to be published in the press and contributing to building thought leadership
  • The sales cycle - Working on client pitches and proposals through to contract and project initiation
  • How a consulting business is managed and operated - Understanding the component parts of an effective consulting business
  • What support will I receive?
  • You will be supported throughout the programme to study & achieve certification for an industry relevant qualification e.g. CII, CISI, or other sector focused training course
  • You will join in a cohort of Consultant Analysts, working together as you progress through the Aspire programme
  • You will be assigned a working mentor who can provide guidance on Altus vision & values, learning techniques, methods, models and career progression

    3-5 years experience in the Investments industry
  • Experience in a change, operations, or technical role within pensions, retirement solutions, long-term savings or investments
  • Extremely thorough, inquisitive and hard-working behaviours
  • A genuine desire to improve outcomes for clients and consumers
  • Excellent people and communication skills, able to confidently converse with clients and stakeholders
  • Proven track record of building strong business relationships
  • Innovative and with a strong ability to articulate ideas, bringing them to life visually and presenting them to clients and stakeholders
  • Good understanding of IT fundamentals and different categories of FS systems
  • Genuine passion and enthusiasm to make a difference for Altus and our clients
  • A willingness to travel and undertake varying roles
