As a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in cardiac MRI you will be at the forefront of transforming Cardiovascular Care and Imaging. The Radiology and Cardiology departments developed this joint post to provide services that meet the demands of our local population. You will help us expand our services across all hospital sites working closely with the local Integrated Care Network to promote a high standard of care. We are strongly encouraging and supporting your career development. In handling your daily clinical and administrative tasks, you will have access to a secretary and administrative staff., By joining the Imaging and Cardiology Services, you will actively be involved in the development of the cardiac MRI service. The sessional commitments were designed to include 10 PAs with on-call commitments of 1 in 7-weekend cardiology ward rounds. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the cardiac MRI service, providing radiographer training and supervision as well as service-driving development and expansion. Specialist sessions in Radiology will include cardiac MRI reporting. As a senior member of staff, you will actively participate in MDT meetings and clinical governance activities. Education is important to us. Therefore, you will teach and train the junior members of staff, and participate in continuing medical education. As a leader, you will arrange appropriate CPD for yourself and your team.
