We are looking to employ an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our well-established Neurodevelopmental, IST and CCLDT services. These services are currently transferring into a new Children's Integrated Directorate and the successful applicant will play a key role in the successful transformation. You will work alongside the General and Service Managers and other clinical and team leads to provide, as part of our local Autism Strategy, excellent quality assessment and intervention services to neurodivergent children and young people and to those with a learning disability. Your teams will include a range of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Allied Health Professionals, Nursing and Social Care Colleagues. Key tasks of this role include oversight and governance of the assessment pathways for autism and ADHD, supporting the IST to reduce Tier 4 mental health hospital admissions in line with Coventry and Warwickshire's Transforming Care Programme and clinical oversight and governance of the Psychological Professions in the CCLDT. Successful applicants will receive excellent support and regular, good quality supervision and CPD opportunities. We have well-established links with the Coventry and Warwick Doctoral Training courses in Clinical Psychology, providing placements, teaching and supervising doctoral research projects. We also have research links with Warwick University and there will be opportunities to maintain/develop your research skills. Suitable candidates will have considerable clinical experience and demonstrate highly specialist psychological knowledge in the field of neurodiversity and CLDTs for children. They will have a thorough understanding of the national, regional and local context around transformational change in relation to admission avoidance.
