Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent B8C Clinical Psychologist with an interest in working in Adult Diabetes Outpatients. The post holder will be expected to lead on the development, coordination and delivery of a new clinical psychology service to Diabetes services at NUH and to provide psychological support for adults within Diabetes. This work will involve working closely with the MDT staff within Diabetes Services.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist with a significant interest and experience in Clinical Health Psychology. It is essential that the post-holder will have a doctorate level clinical psychology professional qualification and be HCPC registered The post holder will be employed by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and will be required to work at both City and QMC Campus. Applicants must have the personal qualities and resilience to be able to work in a busy acute trust setting. The successful applicant will be part of the expanding Department of Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology at NUH. The department has excellent links with the University of Nottingham and the Trent Clinical Psychology Doctorate Course.,
- A strong interest and enthusiasm for working in clinical health psychology
- A passion to lead and develop a new clinical psychology service for Adult Diabetes.
- Significant knowledge and substantial post doctorate experience of working in clinical health psychology
- A good working knowledge and experience of evidence-based psychological treatments
- Sound clinical risk assessment and management
- Experience of developing staff support and supervision for members of the MDT
- Experience of developing talking therapy pathways with other service providers
- Training and experience of supervising therapists and other clinical staff

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
