Full Job Description

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston provide a NHS Children and Young People's Gender Service in the South West (CYPGS). We are looking for an experienced trainer and educator of health care professionals in relation to the psychological aspects of this this specialist field of children's health. This senior role will be to work with the Clinical Director and Clinical Lead to develop, implement and maintain proactive and responsive training programmes for the large multi-professional CYPGS team (clinical and non-clinical). We expect the staff in this service to experience exceptional pressure and anticipate that training and education will help the team manage this. The senior role will also involve leadership of the internal CYPGS trainers and may include an element of clinical service delivery at a senior level. This will provide a balanced yet challenging job plan for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with a proven track record for delivery of innovative and effective training
programmes in this field.

Advise the Clinical Director, Clinical Lead and Consultants within the CYPGS about training and continuing professional development for the staff of the CYPGS

Develop and lead the delivery of CYPGS training with the senior leadership and CYPGS trainers

Delegated via the Clinical Lead: management and coordination of training projects and policies for internal and external training, people and vulnerable adults.
