Consultant Community Paediatrician

We are looking to recruit substantive consultants to our Community Paediatric team in Newham for 2024.
These posts are an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team within a multidisciplinary Community Child Health service in East London:
Post 1 - Consultant Community Paediatrician (up to 10PA), The postholders will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive community paediatric service within Specialist Children & Young People's Services and will include responsibilities in the following areas:
(i) Clinical activities: a. Consultant clinics and related administrative work b. Clinical triage of referrals c. Clinical supervision as Consultant of the Day d. MDT clinical discussions or meetings e. Any clinical patient-related meetings
(ii) Teaching: a. To contribute to departmental teaching b. To contribute to teaching of medical students particularly in relation to community child health services
(iii) Management and leadership: a. Clinical Supervision b. Clinical governance c. Management supervision d. Pathway leadership
(iv) Audit, Quality Improvement and Service Development

Our Community
We provide a wide range of community health and mental health inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, and older adults in The City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We also provide psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond, and provide Forensic services to the whole of North East London. We provide services in urban and rural settings, sometimes in our inpatient units, but mostly in the community close to where people live. Integrated care is key in making the best use of resources and providing effective care.
