Full Job Description

  • Conducting a range of multivariate analyses, including multi-level modelling, on large datasets (20,000+ cases) combining data from a variety of sources.

  • Contributing to the design and development of new analyses while assisting in the progression of ongoing projects.

  • Collaborating closely with a small team overseen by clinicians, whilst working with staff from the Research & Development function, to design analyses and draft publications.

    The Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK is seeking to recruit at least one experienced statistician with proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. The appointed individual will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of complex data analyses to support research activities, report writing and associated publications. They will be expected to commit a maximum of 30 days annually to these activities, which will be remunerated at around £500 per day, as per contract agreement., A postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as mathematics, statistics, psychology, sociology, public health, or research methodology.

  • Proficiency in analysing data using a range of statistical software (including SPSS).

  • Demonstrated experience in managing large datasets and conducting complex analyses.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and engaging manner to diverse stakeholders.


  • Applications from solo-working data analysts, as well as arrangements where Consultant-level (usually Professor or equivalent) Senior Statisticians / Data Scientists are supervising more junior data analysts / researchers, will be considered.
