Full Job Description

There are 2 ½ dedicated medical wards at both Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital, these are supported by the medical teams with consultant ward rounds and daily MDT board rounds to support discharge. The speciality of medicine offered at the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust includes:

  • Acute stroke services , with regular TIA clinics cross site
  • Rheumatology
  • Diabetes Medicine
  • Cardiology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Respiratory Medicine
  • Oncology
  • Haematology
  • Dermatology
  • AcuteMedicine -Management of admissions -Management of medical complications -Excelling in communication skills with MDT members, patients, and their families -Leading care planning and best-interest meetings Outpatient: -Clinics and associated admin -IP Follow up reviews

    The successful applicant will be an accredited physician with a speciality interest. The Service for Medicine consists of consultants and teams at Eastbourne District General Hospital and Conquest Hospital.
