Full Job Description

We are seeking a full time Consultant Haematologist to join our established and enthusiastic team in providing a high-quality haematology service on the Isle of Wight.

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a Haematology and Blood Transfusion services and meet the requirements for accreditation with UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).

The contract is for 10 PA's. The Trust is happy to consider flexible working in support of work / life balance. Extended days, compressed hours and part time working may be considered.

A successful candidate may have, or may wish to, develop special professional interests and this is encouraged provided it complements and enhances the overall work of the department. The post-holder will be encouraged to develop academic and educational links with colleagues in nearby mainland Trusts.

Our Enhanced welcome package includes 10K Recruitment and Retention package alongside financial assistance with travel arrangements, The appointee will, together with their consultant colleague, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive, efficient and cost-effective clinical haematology, haemato-oncology and blood transfusion service to the IW NHS and other users of the service.
