role in project design and delivery. This means
that at any given time, I am likely to take on
different roles from project manager to lead
client contact for a diverse portfolio of projects.
As a result, my day-to-day is varied. Typically, it
can include client engagements and meetings. I
can lead research design and coordinate actions
across the project delivery team. All staff are
involved with project delivery, so this means I
might carry out interviews or focus groups as part
of a project or undertake analysis to produce a
project report. In addition to my core job role, I
am also the line manager for a Research
Consultant, and work with them to manage their
workload and support them to develop.
We have a collaborative approach to tendering
which involves collective agreement on
prospective projects we are interested in working
on. We have a back-office team who support us
in the administration of tenders submitted, this
allows our consultant team to focus on
developing our approach. Depending on the brief
I will work in collaboration with colleagues to
contribute to a bid or as lead bid writer. I enjoy

large-scale national programme evaluation, and
me and the Project Director are reporting back on
key areas of focus for the evaluation that have
emerged from discussions with the client team.
The team brings together four members of staff

After this, I spend some time at my desk working
on developing a topic guide to support some
upcoming qualitative fieldwork for a project.
Then I brief members of another project team on
the upcoming tasks needed for an approaching
project milestone.
Later, I have a meeting with my project team. We
catch up on how things have been going. We
discuss their upcoming tasks and any support
they require.
We have a flexible approach to working, so when
I'm working from home, I head out for a run at
lunchtime.
In the afternoon, I have an interview with an
individual who has been involved in delivering
activities as part of a project we are evaluating.
This is one of the bits of the role I enjoy the most,
as it's an opportunity to hear directly about
people's lives and experiences beyond our own., responsibilities

Salary Between £35,500 to £43,500 depending on experience.
Pension We are a member of the NEST pension scheme, and you will automatically be
enrolled following your probation.
Profit Share Wavehill operates an annual profit share scheme. Colleagues can receive up to
15% of their salary, with the first £3,600 being tax-free. Colleagues can qualify to
receive this following the successful completion of their probationary period.
