Full Job Description

To provide high quality consultant delivered care to patients including clinical leadership and supervision of junior medical staff, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are provided to all patients attending the hospital., The principal duty of this post is to provide a comprehensive clinical service to patients: - To at all times, comply with the GMS's guidance on 'Good Medical Practice' as amended or substituted from time to time - To ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times - On commencement to ensure completion of the Trust's Corporate Induction - To undertake duties as defined within the job plan and in agreement with the Clinical Lead - To be proactive in ensuring that all patients receive rapid assessment, treatment and clinical decision making, whilst ensuring our standard to deliver safe, quality care is sustained - To be responsible for the Clinical Management of all patients under your care. - To provide Diabetes and Endocrinology specialist support to other inpatient medical teams - To participate with General Inpatient Medicine on-call rota - To contribute to Diabetes and Endocrinology MDTs - To work flexibly with colleagues to meet the needs of the service and achieve Trust and National targets - To liaise with clinicians and managers within and outside the department to address any issues arising that may affect the services - To participate in relevant audit and quality assurance processes - To communicate with local GPs
