Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology

This is an exciting time to be joining the department of Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic medicine at South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation trust. In conjunction with the existing consultants you will work towards enhancing our existing services and expanding to develop new dedicated services, all striving towards providing safer high-quality care.

The Metabolic department in the trust is split across two sites at Sunderland Royal Hospital (SRH) and South Tyneside (ST); it is a dynamic and forward-thinking team. It is dedicated to providing a high-quality patient experience, through innovation, education, clinical effectiveness and efficiency. The department believes strongly in a patient centred team working philosophy.

We are looking for highly motivated, innovative and skilled individuals who are passionate about delivering high quality care within Endocrinology and Diabetes., Applicants would be expected to work alongside the existing consultant team in supporting the unit as a whole. Applicants would contribute to the specialty in-patient cover, the out of hours rota and would contribute to the general medical ward and on-call duties.
