Full Job Description
Consultant Radiologist : Consultant in General Radiology with special interest in Head & Neck imaging LNWUH NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic and motivated radiologist to join a team of 60 consultants, three staff grade doctors and 23 registrars working collaboratively across the three sites to provide high quality imaging service. The successful candidate will contribute to the broad spectrum of work undertaken by our consultant radiologists as detailed in the job description. The posts are based at Northwick Park, Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospitals. Post-holders will be expected to cover activities on multiple sites, as required. Commitments will include relevant MDTs, imaging-guided procedures, plain radiograph, CT and MRI reporting., General responsibilities will include acute, elective and on call work. Teaching and training are actively encouraged. Applicants must have full GMC Registration and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for inclusion within six months of the interview date., Essential
- FRCR (or overseas equivalent)
- Recognised Medical Degree Knowledge and Expertise Essential
- Broad based general professional training in general medicine
- Comprehensive training and experience in general imaging
- Experience in all modalities of head & neck imaging (MRI, US, US-guided procedures such as FNA and core biopsy, CT). Registration Essential On GMC registered Medical Practitioner GMC specialist registration or within six months of CCT or CESR Teaching Essential Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff Management and Audit Essential
- A broad understanding of the management role of a consultant and mechanisms
- Knowledge of finance / budgets Research / Publication Essential
- Proven ability to carry out and present research projects
- Presentations at National meetings
