The role of Substantive Consultant Neurophysiologist at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWUH) is a pivotal position within our Neurophysiology Department. Conducting adult and pediatric EMG clinics, including delivering outpatient services and providing ad-hoc support for inpatients. 2. Supporting upcoming physiologist-led carpal tunnel clinics and providing training as necessary. 3. Reporting on EEG examinations for both adult and pediatric patients. 4. Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities:As a Substantive Consultant Neurophysiologist, your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular adult and pediatric EMG clinics, providing outpatient services, and offering ad-hoc support for inpatients as required.
- Supporting physiologist-led carpal tunnel clinics, including providing training and guidance to ensure effective service delivery.
- Reporting on EEG examinations for both adult and pediatric patients, ensuring accurate interpretation and timely reporting of findings.
- Collaborating with consultants and clinical physiologists to maintain high standards of care and service delivery within the Neurophysiology Department.
- Contributing to the development and expansion of neurophysiology services, including participating in service improvement initiatives and introducing new procedures or protocols as appropriate.
- Engaging in continuous professional development activities, including attending relevant training courses, conferences, and seminars to enhance your knowledge and skills in neurophysiology.
- Adhering to trust policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
- Providing mentorship and support to junior staff members, fostering a culture of learning and development within the department.
