Full Job Description
We are looking for 3.3 WTE consultant psychiatrists to provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT. The posts have become available after previous postholders departed the service and these substantive posts will replace agency locum cover. The post holders will work closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues (total 3.3 WTE) within the team. The team base is at Saffron House, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire., The South Bucks OA CMHT serves a total population of approximately 57 000 adults over the age of 65 and sees all patients in this age group with both functional and organic mental illness. The post holders will be expected to see patients in the community, out-patients (including memory clinic) and occasional liaison patients. The post-holders will undertake one outpatient clinic per week (maximum two new patients or up to five follow-up patients) and one Memory Assessment Service clinic per week (with the same maximum patient numbers). In addition, the post holders will be expected to provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT. Applicants for the above vacancies must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register or be within six months of attaining their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or an equivalent approved indicator of training.
