Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well- established and dynamic Maxillofacial Unit as a part-time (7.5PA) Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, working across the sites at St. Richard's Hospital, Chichester, and Worthing and Southlands Hospitals. You will join 6 other Maxillofacial Surgeons, 3 Consultant Orthodontists and a Consultant Restorative Dentist to provide the full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery. In addition the department is renowned for its head and neck surgical dermatology service, which you will contribute to. You will take an active part in teaching and training specialty registrars and DCTs., You will provide a comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery service to out-patients and in-patients.
You will take part in the 1:5 on-call rota for emergency care, based at St.Richard's Hospital Chichester.
You will contribute to the surgical management of head and neck skin cancer.
You will be involved in teaching and training junior staff.
You will support Specialty Doctors and Specialist Doctors in Oral Surgery.
