Consultant in Renal Medicine

We are looking to appoint a Less than full time Consultant in Renal Medicine (8PA) to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at Northern General Hospital., The appointee will, together with Consultant colleagues be responsible for the provision of in-patient and outpatient care of renal patients and provision for in-centre haemodialysis patients.

Main duties of the post will include:

a. 1:14 in-patient cover as consultant of the week

b. 1:14 on-call commitment

c. General nephrology clinics

d. Haemodialysis MDT

e. Haemodialysis out-patient clinic

Contribute to the audit programmes, Morbidity and Mortality and clinical governance programs.

Be aware of, and comply with, all Trust infection prevention and control policies, to include hand hygiene, personal hygiene, environmental and food hygiene.
