Full Job Description

Isio Wealth Planning is seeking a Consultant to advise individual clients of Isio Wealth Planning on their retirement planning and wider financial planning needs. This is an exciting time within our business as we expand and seek new market opportunities, we are therefore looking for someone who is adaptable and can develop alongside our proposition. Role and Responsibilities This role will have primary focus on advising members of defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans with their retirement and helping them on an ongoing basis where appropriate. The successful applicant must be confident in speaking to members and dealing with their queries and will also enjoy providing guidance and presentations. As a consultant, you will also be a point of contact for individual clients (and prospective clients) when Isio Wealth Planning are appointed to large scale projects or when appointed by Corporate or Trustee Clients, to advise their employees / members. You will act as an adviser, advising and managing the affairs of a number of clients who require retirement planning. In addition, you will either, where required, provide holistic advice to those clients or, where the clients circumstances are more complex, refer them onto Senior Consultants. This position is ideally suited to a consultant with a pensions background who has the relevant qualifications to meet FCA advisory requirements, looking for a hybrid workstyle, with the expectation to be in the office 3 days a week.

  • Level 4 qualification ideally from CII/PFS.
  • AF7, G60 or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in the pensions industry.
  • Understanding of Defined Benefit transfers and Pension Freedoms.
  • Good IT based experience, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Use of Intelligent Office CRM system.
  • Use of report writing technology or previous report writing skills.
  • The ability to think objectively and without external influence, making important decisions that positively impact on client financial decisions.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders internally and externally, with good communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Good influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Commercial awareness and sound judgement with a willingness to learn.
  • Good knowledge of financial planning process, including client fact finding and understanding of financial products and when to use these.
  • Ability to be flexible and travel as required between offices.

  • Experience of providing regulated advice.
  • Chartered or prepared to study to become Chartered.
  • Good knowledge of the investment markets.
