Full Job Description

The St George's Kidney service is looking to appoint a full time (10 PAs) Consultant Renal Physician to join a friendly comprehensive team based at St George's Hospital, the major tertiary centre for South West London. The service currently consists of seven full-time Nephrologists, four Acute medical consultants with an interest in Nephrology, and eight Consultant Transplant and Access surgeons, who work together to provide comprehensive kidney services for South West London. The appointee will work with others to provide clinical care to acute and chronic haemodialysis patients at the on-site St George's dialysis unit and the North Wandsworth satellite unit. They will also participate in the outpatient transplantation clinic. The appointee should be registered with the UK General Medical Council and be on the Specialist Register or be within 3 months of award of a CCT in Renal Medicine at the time of taking up the post.   • Full registration with General Medical Council or eligible if currently working overseas
  • Currently on the Special Register for General Surgery or eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date
  • Higher professional qualification (eg. MRCS)

  • Demonstrable experience in all aspects of Clinical Governance

  • Experience in managing all modalities in Kidney medicine, including Haemodialysis
