Consultant Physician in Diabetes & Endocrinology | Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Applications are invited for two full time Consultants to work in our established Diabetes and Endocrine Department at Bedford Hospital site which is part of the merged Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. There are possibilities for some degree of flexible working.

We are looking for highly motivated, innovative and skilled individuals who are passionate about delivering high quality care in Diabetes and Endocrinology. Team work and integrated working are core components of the philosophy of our local service delivery both in specialist and in supporting primary care. The successful candidates will play important roles within our existing multidisciplinary team, providing excellent inpatient and outpatient services, including general medicine. They will join a team of medical and nurse consultants, providing the full range of diabetes care (including a significant HCL service) as well as outpatient endocrinology. General medical inpatient work is shared between 4 consultants.

These are substantive posts and the appointments will be made in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Service for Consultants (2003).

Our Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton. Travel between hospital sites may be required.
