Are you a dedicated and experienced psychiatrist looking to provide top-notch care in a supportive and dynamic environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join our client's esteemed team of professionals in a highly regarded facility, which serves up to 90 male patients with low secure and rehabilitation needs.

About the Role: As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading your multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including participating in ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic reviews.

  • Acting as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).

  • Contributing to management and clinical governance meetings, as well as the development of service strategy.

  • Participating in in-house training programs and providing supervision to junior medical staff.

  • Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements as set by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.

  • Offering a psychiatric perspective to the MDT in relation to assessment, formulation, and treatment.


  • Key Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or Rehabilitation Psychiatry.

  • Experience leading an MDT to deliver high-quality care.

  • Commitment to maintaining CPD and meeting re-validation requirements.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
