Consultant Psychiatrist

This is a Consultant Psychiatrist position at Elysium Healthcare's Spring Wood Lodge hospital in Leeds. The hospital provides mental health services, particularly for women with mental disorders including personality disorders, in a locked rehabilitation setting. The successful candidate will join the established multidisciplinary team and take on the role of Consultant/Responsible Clinician, leading the assessment, formulation and treatment of patients., The Consultant Psychiatrist will be responsible for taking clinical responsibility for patients, including leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and developing a therapeutic milieu. They will also fulfill the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act. The Consultant will offer a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team, contribute to management and clinical governance meetings, and provide supervision and training to junior medical staff.
