Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Imperial College's Health Centre as a Consultant Psychiatrist. The health Centre is an independent NHS GP practice based in Prince's Gardens, South Kensington. It provides a range of primary care services and has a multidisciplinary mental health team offering amongst other things, a range of short-term therapies, mental health workshops, life coach interventions and support for students' studies. The successful candidate will join our existing Consultant Psychiatrist in a highly effective, collaborative team.,

  • The Clinical Psychiatrist will work as part of a team ensuring the efficient running of the in-house mental health service.
  • You will work closely with other clinicians, to support Imperial College services users as required.
  • You will advise on the management of complex cases and provide appropriate follow up.
  • You will provide 3 hours of direct clinical contact time per week. Referrals will be assessed, and written feedback will be provided within a timely manner.
  • You will comply with Practice policies and procedures and participate in service evaluations.

    We are looking for applicants who possess a General Medical Council licence and membership of the MRCPsych.
  • You should have experience of working in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency setting and of managing complex clinical cases. We also encourage applications from those who have experience of working in NHS Primary Care., As well as the above you will have relevant sector knowledge including up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based treatments and guidance and developments in psychiatric care. You will also have a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and Equality Diversity and Inclusion. You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, important in the interactions with patients, colleagues and other contacts. What we can offer you
