Full Job Description
Cromwell house is a well-established community mental health team coving the central area of Salford, between Eccles and Cadishead. Salford's Community mental health teams (CMHTs) provide multi-disciplinary assessment, treatment and care of individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems. They provide a service to individuals from 16 years of age up to 70 years of age with a diagnosed functional mental health problem, unless the service users' needs would be best met by the Older Adults CMHT. Occasionally it is agreed for older adults' services to manage people under 70, and vice versa. Cromwell house itself has around 800 patients, the current active case load for this position is a total of approximately 500 patients in total. The successful applicant would assess 2- 3 new patients a week and conduct 3-4 follow up clinics, each with 5 to 6 patients, with flexibility in this timetable depending upon demand. Review of 15-24 patients per week should allow a feasible caseload of 200-280 with each patient being reviewed every 3 months on average. Caseload analysis for this position currently shows approximately 200 patients under CPA, and 300 under standard care including the case load of the SAS doctor. The candidate will be expected to be An Approved Clinician and section 12 approved or be eligible for approval. They will become involved in Mental Health Act work for patients in their caseload and on call.,
