Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust seeks to appoint an enthusiastic full-time consultant psychiatrist to the Enfield South Locality Team which is based in Lucas House in Enfield. The South Locality Team is one of two Core Community Mental Health Teams (North and South) that together would cover the borough of Enfield. The post is available as the current substantive consultant has taken up a management role.
There is an exciting opportunity within the North London Mental Health Partnership (NLMHP) for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Community Services in Enfield. The role offered is that of a Consultant in The Enfield South Locality Team covering one of the Community General Adult Teams in the London Borough of Enfield.

This post is awaiting approval by the Royal College of Psychiatrist - submitted for approval on 16.05.2024., Principal duties will include: Senior clinical leadership to the team and responsibility for the medical care of patients under the care of team.
The team is a multidisciplinary team comprising of medical staff, nurses, social workers, psychologists and specialist substance misuse workers responsible for the care of patients requiring secondary mental health services.
Currently community services are undergoing transformation as part of the NHS long term plan with investment to support services to offer more personalized care aligned to primary care networks, with better access to psychological therapy and trauma-informed care for people with mental health problems. Work is underway to better integrate care offered across primary and secondary-care, with more joined-up work with partners in the local authority and voluntary sector.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to provide senior medical leadership as the service develops, playing a central role in ensuring that changes are designed and implemented to improve services available to the local community.
The post-holder will work alongside Dr Antonio Albanese, part-time consultant psychiatrist to the service and current Clinical Director for Enfield Community and Older Adult Services.
