Full Job Description

Clinical:

To lead the multidisciplinary team in providing excellent psychiatric care

To provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans.

To lead weekly MDT meetings and ensure prompt reviews of acutely unwell patients

To work closely with the CRHTT OP, community teams and liaison services as patients move between these teams

CPFT are inviting enthusiastic and dedicated Old Age Psychiatrists to apply for a number of posts in our community based services to provide excellent care to the population of Cambridgeshire.

Four posts are available across Peterborough and Fenland , including a post in the Peterborough based Crisis Team for older people. All of our Consultant posts open up research and developmental opportunities for applicants. We will support the implimentation of hybrid working where possible.

The Community facing services in CPFT for older people are managed within the Older People and Adult Community Directorate, OPAC. Our integrated model of care brings together staff delivering physical healthcare and mental healthcare for the elderly, and during the current Covid epidemic it has proven its benefits.

A key focus for the delivery of community care are integrated, multidisciplinary, multi-agency neighbourhood teams (NTs)., CPFT is a health & social care organisation dedicated to providing high quality care with compassion to improve the health & wellbeing of the people we care for, as well as supporting & empowering them to lead a fulfilling life.

Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services not only via inpatient and primary care setting but also with the community. These services include Children, Adult & Older Peoples mental health, Forensic & Specialist mental health, Learning Disabilities, Primary Care & Liaison psychiatry, Substance misuse, Social care, Research & Development.

£105,504 to £139,882 a year pro rata per annum plus £40K Recruitment Premia (T&Cs apply)
