Consultant Psychiatrist - Rehabilitation

The post provides specialist psychiatric rehabilitation expertise to the Outreach and Recovery Team (ORT) currently serving the Rhondda and Taff areas and which works on Assertive Outreach principles. The post holder will also be responsible for the Cefn Yr Afon Unit, an 18-bedded mixed gender rehabilitation facility working on Community Rehabilitation Unit principles in Bridgend., The post holder will be required to liaise with other senior clinicians as and when necessary. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical psychiatric rehabilitation expertise and leadership to a defined multidisciplinary outreach and recovery team and an inpatient rehabilitation team. provide specialist assessment and clinical management of patients aged 18 and over with mental health problems under the ORT and inpatients at Cefn Yr Afon. provide medical liaison and advice regarding patients to local consultants and GPs as necessary.
