Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the opportunity to work within one of our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams in Birmingham. We have 5 home treatment teams across Birmingham and Solihull and this post is within the West hub.

Our catchment population is ethnically diverse and characterised in places by high levels of deprivation. This provides opportunities for innovation in engaging people and addressing health inequalities.

We offer support to develop special interests, involvement in research and quality improvement, management, teaching and training., You will work with team managers and other senior colleagues as part of a leadership team to improve the care of patients. This will also involve the provision of medical leadership and input to the multidisciplinary team to include review meetings, assessment of patients in crisis, daily reviews of patients on the caseload, discharge planning and liaison with referring team.

Applicants must have full registration with the GMC, MRCPsych or equivalent, CCT accreditation in General Adult Psychiatry or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT. Experience within Acute Psychiatry, Section 12(2) and Approved Clinician status are also required.
