Full Job Description
This post is based at the Bedford Hospital site but it is anticipated that the successful candidate may work at Luton & Dunstable hospital 1 day a week in future.
- Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients presenting to the Hospital
- To deliver a high-quality imaging service with a focus on subspeciality interests as applicable
- To share, with colleagues in the Imaging Department, the management of all patients referred to the Trust
- To share in the general radiology work of the department including currently a 1 in 11 on call rota
- To support radiographers and sonographer staff in the department and also be involved in the teaching and training of specialist registrars grade, junior medical staff, nursing staff and medical students
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit
- To have responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional development (CPD) Our Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton.
