Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) are looking to recruit a forward-thinking and motivated consultant Physicians in Respiratory Medicine with an interest in Sleep/NIV and/or other sub-specialisms to join our team of 5 Respiratory Medicine Consultants delivering our Respiratory services. The posts present an excellent opportunity for experienced clinicians with comprehensive understanding of respiratory medicine to join our dynamic team committed to the delivery of the highest standard of care.

    Respiratory services at WWL include many sub-specialties of thoracic medicine, including Sleep Service, Asthma Service, COPD unit, Lung Cancer Services, Community Breathlessness Clinic, inpatient services and outpatient services. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing 5 Respiratory Medicine Consultants. There are opportunities to work with the existing lung cancer team. There would be significant opportunities to engage in Research and education in this post. The existing consultants are active participants in academic and commercial research trials and hope to develop this further with this new appointment.
