Full Job Description
This post is for a Consultant Physician in and Rheumatology with a General internal medicine component.. This post holder will have joint General Medical and Rheumatology responsibilities.The job is a full-time post comprising 10 Programmed Activities (PAs). Applicants who wish to work less than full time are very welcome to apply.
The post holder will demonstrate a firm commitment to clinical governance, clinical audit and risk management by the development of systems to ensure the highest standards of patient care are achieved and maintained., The post holder will be responsible for the maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients under their team. The appointee will be sharing with medical, nursing and administrative colleagues, responsibility for the day-today management of Rheumatic diseases. The appointee will share with colleagues the responsibility for the management of the Rheumatology Department.
Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
