Full Job Description

You'll be responsible for providing outstanding space planning and CAFM services to our customers. You'll be a pro-active consultant who is able to partner with our customers and truly understand their needs in order to provide them with surveying and drawing layouts to the highest standard possible.

The key areas of responsibility for the Consultant - Space Planner include:

  • Professional Services

  • Customer Experience, Supporting the Client, FM and Projects Department in the delivery of solutions for space requirements

  • Will provide monthly, bespoke reporting ad hoc requests scope of works/requests to agreed timescales.

  • Manage the production of period end reporting, listing various queries from systems and databases

  • Ensure the CAFM/CAD systems are up-to-date, fit for purpose, configured as required to be most effective to client

  • Responsible for on-going maintenance of drawings and data integrity of the informationheld within platform

  • Assist in advice CAD standards, Space planning Spandards, AutoCAD layering standards and general standarization

  • effective space planning solutions

  • Produce a variety of surveys to include space usage, layouts and headcounts, with the aim of achieving optimal office space utilization

  • Assisting in the provision of space-related data

  • Taking business unit requirements and translating them into detailed space plans, in accordance with portfolio space strategy, standards and polices

  • Ensuring appropriate safety considerations and building regulations are applied to the space planning process

  • Promoting and implementing modern space planning techniques, with an understanding of how the use of office space is changing and how this relates to space strategy

  • Ensuring space management drawings are issued to the Client

  • Liaising with various office furniture manufacturers/suppliers and assisting the Client with a selection of products.

  • Dealing with M&E related requests and assisting with producing "As built" M&E drawings

    High proficiency with AutoCAD

  • Excellent and demonstrable knowledge of space planning standards and related industry regulations (space standards, DDA)

  • Competent technical ability and capable of solving and managing challenges using an analytical approach

  • Experience within a customer delivery environment

  • Fantastic verbal and written communication skills

  • A good knowledge of MS Office applications including Outlook

  • A relevant degree or equivalent level of education preferred


  • Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of CAFM software, Tririga

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
