Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Consumer Protection Compliance Manager to support the development and expansion of the Global Consumer Protection Program. As a Compliance Manager, you will report to the Head of Global Consumer Protection, and work with regional compliance officers, product, Legal, operations and customer service teams to maintain consumer protection programs to support Remitly's services and operations. This will be a hybrid role (2-3 days a week) based in our London office. #LI-Hybrid You Will:

  • Develop policies, procedures, risk assessments, training materials, reports and other related compliance documentation.
  • Provide consumer protection compliance subject matter expertise and communicate complex regulatory requirements to Remitly teams.
  • Perform routine compliance reviews including testing and monitoring activities to determine compliance with consumer protection laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Monitor internal metrics, data and controls to ensure compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) guidelines, and UK and EU consumer protection standards.
  • Track to completion process enhancements conducted by other teams meet consumer protection regulatiory requirements.
  • Manage any consumer protection mitigation/remediation action plans.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the compliance control framework and assurance program.
  • Collaborate with Remitly teams to support implementation projects.

    5+ years' experience working in a regulated services sector
  • Experience of working on a Consumer Duty oversight function.
  • Knowledge of UK and Irish regulatory consumer protection guidance
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Collaborative approach with ability to build strong working relationships
  • Translate and implement tailored, solutions that meet regulatory and compliance obligations
