Full Job Description

Join Pets at Home, the UK's leading pet care business, as a Consumer Strategy Manager.

We're on a mission to build the world's best pet care platform, and we need a commercially savvy and operationally skilled professional to help drive our success.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in shaping and executing the commercial strategy for our growing healthcare plans and insurance offerings. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll lead in setting and delivering our commercial strategy, as well as driving the day-to-day operations of these key business areas, ensuring we deliver on our ambitious goals.

This hybrid role is based at our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire. You'll be required to work in the office two days per week.

Key Responsibilities will include;

  • Developing and implementing the commercial strategy for our health plans and insurance propositions

  • Using Microsoft Excel to build financial models that will aid decision making

  • Managing daily operations, collaborating with internal teams, practice owner partners and third-party suppliers

  • Supporting the business with strategic analysis and execution on new initiatives and performance improvements

Strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative), supported by advanced capability in Excel

  • A proven ability to break down complex problems, leveraging your analytical capability to draw out key insights

  • Extensive experience in financial modelling and business case development

  • Excellent commercial instincts and operational experience, leveraging both to make clear decisions

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results

  • Passion for building the world's best pet care platform

  • Experience in management consulting, FP&A/accountancy, or a similar role

  • The ability to clearly communicate (written and verbal) and influence at all levels

  • Work autonomously, grasping situations and adding value quickly

Be part of an innovative and growing company that's leading the pet care industry. Bring your expertise to a dynamic team, and help shape the future of pet care.

  • Pets just see people. They aren't biased and they don't discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you.
