TEC Cymru is now part of the NHS Executive Wales, which is hosted by Public Health Wales. TEC Cymru was established to provide oversight and direction for Technology Enabled Care in Wales, with the aim of supporting sustainable digital transformation at scale and pace.
We are currently looking to appoint a Content Designer, who has experience of working in the public sector and is looking for an exciting and challenging career opportunity.
We are looking for a passionate individual with experience in producing a range of creative content for our website, programmes, communications channels and campaigns that complies with our brand guidelines and enhances our communications. This will be produced working closely with other members of the DDTIV Directorate Communications Team who commission and manage the creative content
The successful applicant will be a critical part of our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will design, implement and evaluate a range of to support our all-Wales TEC programmes. For example, this may include developing campaigns, social media content, news stories, blogs and communication packs.

This will be produced working closely with other members of the DDTIV Directorate Communications Team who commission and manage the creative content. This could include:

This will include the post holder using a variety of presentation methods that are appropriate to the audience's collective confidence and understanding.
Design and produce a range of creative content for our website, business areas, communications channels and campaigns that complies with our brand guidelines and enhances our communications to support engagement with the work of TEC Cymru:
Receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information verbally or electronically and re-produce it in appropriate digital format for a range of audiences.
Experience of project and client management of creative projects.
Experience of producing a range of graphic design and creative content for both digital and offline channels and resources.
Experience or equivalent knowledge of using the Adobe Creative suite to produce campaign materials, social media graphics, infographics and reports.
Experience of developing creative ideas for campaigns, from conception to final execution.
Experience of performing complex digital content production tasks, with minimal guidance. This could include animation, video editing, and advertising motion graphics.
Experience of redeveloping and launching a new website, including both front-end and back-end design. Including managing a website.
Experience or equivalent knowledge of using UX to develop an engaging user experience for websites. Ideally using the Mura content management system used across NHS Wales.
Be self-sufficient and capable of organising their own workload to deliver the required output to sometimes tight timelines and with conflicting priorities.
As part of a team, to adapt to changing priorities and focus on new priority areas. There is an expectation that the post holder offers some support and guidance to less experienced members of the team to ensure deadlines are met.
Perform within an environment where intense concentration is required throughout the day on a wide variety of complex issues.
Aptitude for attention to detail and high standards of excellence for digital design output. The post holder will ensure timely provision of output to senior team members to ensure the appropriate level of quality assurance and able to provide assurance for other members of the wider team.
Support the senior members of the communications team in the development and delivery of brand guidelines training programmes for TEC Cymru staff.

The salary scale shown is for a full-time member of staff, with the amount being adjusted pro rata for those working less than 37.5 hours per week.
In general, anyone joining our Trust who has not previously worked in the NHS will, by default, start on the first point of the advertised pay band. Pay progression will then be determined by annual Performance and Development Reviews in accordance with the NHS Wales Pay Progression Policy. An application for Incremental Credit may be considered, but can only be awarded based on evidenced, reckonable service and/or equivalent, relevant experience.
