Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has risen for a talented editor to join Stylist's team, overseeing the creation and promotion of our hugely successful newsletter verticals, including Stylist Loves, How To Work, The Watch List, The Sunday Supplement and Motherhood by Stylist.

Reporting to the Digital Content Director and working closely with the commercial and editorial teams, you will bring experience leading a newsletter strategy for a digital publication and driving growth through exceptional editorial content.

This role demands a high level of organisation and an instinctive understanding of what Stylist's email subscribers want.

About the role:

Working with the editorial team, this role will see you shaping the content of our broad newsletter portfolio. You will lead the team in idea generation for articles on everything from shopping to careers, and will decide what articles will be created for our newsletter audiences, working closely with a team of writers to ensure deadlines and standards of quality are met. You will be responsible for building each newsletter, deciding on the optimal subject line, and scheduling the sends. The email content editor will also attend meetings to report on email content performance and should be comfortable advising other parts of the business on newsletter best practice as needed.

This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week from our London Office. The role presents the opportunity for hybrid working which includes core days in the office.

  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to juggle lots of different deadlines while working at pace

  • As comfortable coming up with ideas for shopping listicles as you are in tracking open rates

  • The ability to work collaboratively with the wider editorial team

  • An understanding of email marketing and what content works in this platform

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • A genuine passion about how newsletters can play a role in connecting with readers
