Full Job Description

We are a dedicated team focused on providing content solutions that enhance the impact, effectiveness, and efficiency of our clients' marketing campaigns. Our mission is to understand how a brand can bring value to specific moments and to develop targeted content solutions that inform, entertain, and educate audiences, ultimately improving media and business performance while driving incremental revenue growth for the agency. The Wavemaker Content Activation team specializes in addressing content challenges for our esteemed roster of clients, emphasizing two key areas: content partnerships and influencer marketing. We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Content Activation Manager to oversee the development and execution of these initiatives. This role involves managing client briefs, analyzing audience insights, coordinating with partners, and ensuring the successful implementation of campaigns. The ideal candidate will excel in data interpretation, project management, and relationship building, with a solid understanding of activating partnership and influencer campaigns. This position is well-suited for individuals who take initiative, possess strong organizational skills, and have a natural creative flair. It offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects, allowing for knowledge expansion across various business categories. The selected individual will report directly to a Content Activation Director, with further oversight from the Content Activation Partner. About the Role: You will play a key role in formulating and activating content partnerships and influencer campaigns. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing partnership and influencer briefs from clients, and collaborating with the broader team to identify areas that require further clarification.
  • Gathering research from various sources, including proprietary and third-party tools, to inform decision-making and deliver a strong strategic response. You will analyze data to create a recommended partner or influencer shortlist, utilizing data visualization and commentary to support these recommendations.
  • Creating tailored briefing templates and media plans for partner briefing. Briefing, coordinating and supporting selected partners to deliver a high-quality response.
  • Working closely with the broader team to take the partner proposals and develop a recommendation for the client, as per agreed deadlines. Responsibilities include transferring relevant information from proposals into the recommendation deck, organizing the information to support with side-by-side evaluations, and providing your own perspective on the proposals to aid with scorecarding.
  • Managing projects related to content partnerships and influencer campaigns from start to finish, maintaining a high attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset to ensure client satisfaction. You will anticipate potential issues that could delay campaign launches, applying learnings from previous activations to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Scheduling and facilitating client status meetings for your assigned projects, to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on deliverables and timings throughout the project.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects by prioritizing tasks to exceed client expectations, thereby increasing the likelihood of repeat business and enhancing the team's capacity for new projects.
  • Collaborating with other teams within the agency, such as client leadership, activation, ad operations, and analytics, to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Overseeing the campaign implementation process, ensuring all parties understand creative specifications, and setup requirements. You will collaborate with partners to interpret the media plan, identifying trackable elements and maximizing tracking capabilities through ad serving and adverification platforms.
  • Working with partners to propose measurement frameworks and reporting templates prior to campaign launch, identifying critical metrics and KPIs to demonstrate to the client the project has been successful.
  • Reviewing in-flight campaign reports for accuracy, enhancing partner write-ups with insightful commentary and actionable optimisations. Individual will need to monitor pacing to ensure campaign activities are on track and delivering as planned.
  • Play a key role in the financial booking process by ensuring all projects are booked with the required documentation and within specified timelines. Additionally, you will ensure that campaigns are reconciled monthly to facilitate timely billing to clients and payments to partners.
  • Troubleshooting of finance-related issues or queries, utilizing available financial records and previous communications to resolve them efficiently.
  • Acting as a champion for the team by building a presence within the wider agency as a 'go-to' expert in your field to help secure new business.

Prior experience in Content Partnerships is essential. Familiarity with influencers a plus, but not critical.
  • A proficient Project Manager. Excellent communication, time management, and collaboration skills are critical. You should be reliable and capable of taking ownership of tasks by engaging appropriate resources and coordinating outputs.
  • An adept media planner and buyer who understand the media activation process (particularly digital).
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, able to work within a small but dynamic team to deliver on complex or fast-turnaround projects. A confident self-starter who can also autonomously manage projects when required.
  • International marketing experience is preferred, with strong knowledge of the global partner landscape.
  • Proficient with data and media metrics.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Project management experience is necessary.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
