Contract Accountant

The Contract Accountant role sits within our 14Forty sector reporting directly into the Finance Business Partner you will predominately based in our Birmingham office with occasional travel requirements to support the business when required.

As a Contract Accountant you willprovide financial support to the 14Forty sector of Compass Group UK & Ireland by actively participating in all aspects of accounts procedures and supporting the operations and finance teams to improve the financial performance of the contract.You will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. and, in return, you will have the chance to progress your career with a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go above and beyond.

The Contract Accountants key accountabilities include:

• Transactional Support

+ Generation of sales invoices and credit notes
+ Processing of supplier invoices
+ Support debt management
+ Support in AP Management
+ Preparation of billing schedules
+ Preparation of detailed monthly files and reconciliation

• Reporting & Analysis

+ Preparation of key business reporting - month end reports, client reports, business review reports and budgets
+ Preparation of Flash report
+ Support General Managers with financial analysis

• Management Accounting

o Supporting Finance Managers post month end journals, ensuring all sales and costs are correctly recorded.
o Support with pricing of Contract Variations
# Adhoc management accounting support where requested
# Simple variance analysis, understanding the drivers impacting performanceCollation of information for monthly balance sheet review

If you have a finance degree, are currently studying CIMA/ACCA and have a years practical experience in a finance role and looking for an opportunity with excellent development options then this is the role for you!,
