Full Job Description

We are looking to hire a dedicated individual to join our Procurement team to manage all framework agreements under the Government's public procurement organisation (CCS) and overseeing any subcontracts related to the delivery of these services by Gowling. Additionally, you will serve as the firm's single point of contact for support regarding framework call-off templates and schedules, contract clauses, and any specific queries related to the framework agreements. Key day to day duties include:

  • Maintenance and tracking of all call-off arrangements that fall under the firm's framework agreements.
  • Responsible for the collation and approval of Management Information under the frameworks across the firm. Collaborating with Bids/Clients & Markets to enable the collation of important MI that is gathered during bid stage.
  • Provide support on the appropriate rates to be used under the call-off arrangements and keep a track of any volume discounts that apply.
  • Take on the responsibility of Supplier Contract Manager for key Gowling Public Sector client contracts providing relevant agreed day-to-day operational support.
  • Support business stakeholders in publishing new opportunities to find potential partners to provide services.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and stakeholders.
  • Attend regular contract performance meetings providing any contractual advice and instruction as required.
  • Support stakeholders across the organisation to manage their contracts well, with appropriate consistency within and between contracts, through guidance, training and best practice sharing.

    For this role, your experience should either be within a private company managing a UK Government Public Sector Contract as a Contract Manager, or within the Public sector in a similar capacity. It is crucial that you have a solid understanding of UK Government procurement rules and framework agreements.
  • You will require strong organisational skills, adaptability, and effective communication abilities. This role provides a platform to showcase your planning proficiency, collaborate seamlessly, and lead stakeholder discussions with assurance. Knowledge & Qualifications:
  • Educated to Degree Level or have relevant management experience.
  • CIPS qualified or equivalent degree/diploma in a relevant subject.
  • Knowledge of English Contract Law, and Government procurement regulations.
