Full Job Description

At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement. Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office., This role will be in charge to analyse the current One-Time Cost (OTC) tasks within the Spanish sale entity to contribute to the Finance Operations transformation, ensuring standardisation across all OTC activities. Ensures the consistent application of procedures and practices in alignment with the credit policy for Honda Motor Europe (HME) organisations.,

  • Collaboration with HME Finance in the standardisation and simplification of the local Credit Control functions in line with the new organization of the Finance Division.
  • Analyse local OTC functions to identify synergies to support the transition process to the new pan-Euro structure of the division.
  • Participation in pan-European Focus Groups promoted by the division for collaborate in the standardization of the OTC area at European level.
  • Ensure controls and reports are in place according to HME policies and procedures
  • Identify, suggest and implement continuous improvement measures for the credit function.
  • Identify improvements to credit processes and assist in the implementation of such improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensure customers (dealers, group companies, associates…others customers) pay to terms and pursue overdue invoices whilst maintaining positive customer relationships. Minimize the risk of bad debt.
  • Liaise with the FPC (Finance and Procurement Centre) ensure efficient cash management and maintain clean AR ledgers.
  • Assist and support any legal proceedings if necessary.
  • Respond to internal customer queries and provide local credit administrative support.

    Required
  • Fluent Spanish and English
  • Credit control experience, preferably in a company making international sales.
  • Experience and understanding of credit risk, working closely with the Risk Specialist to ensure the application of risk governance in diverse business profiles
  • Experience of managing a remote credit process within an Shared Service Environment.
  • Adept at working in collaboration with sales leaders to ensure a solid partnership
  • Systems and process knowledge in O2C and SAP fields.
  • Flexibility to transition different workstreams to align to O2C policy from elsewhere in the Business at a Pan-E level, managing change across all branches

  • O2C process knowledge - be the 'go to' person, build experience and deep understanding of the process whilst supporting other process interdependencies.
  • Desirable
  • Knowledge of international payment methods, securities and trade credit insurance is beneficial.
  • Previous experience of change management, organisation and structural change, managing a team through change.
