Full Job Description

At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

Role:
The Order to Cash Credit Specialist ensures the consistent application of procedures and practices in alignment with the credit policy for Honda Motor Europe (HME) organisations. As the principal credit specialist in the organisation, this role is key to the efficient functioning of the order to cash process. Responsibilities include enhancing policy and process efficiency, overseeing governance and performance within the financial shared service centre (FSSC), managing queries, reporting, debtor communications, and escalating issues to line management.

Additionally, the specialist conducts periodic risk assessments and credit reviews of customers to optimize the balance between sales performance and the minimization of bad debt losses.

This position requires the ability to collaborate across various organisational levels and with customers in Switzerland and The Nordics, as well as with the FSSC., Order to Cash Credit Specialist key accountabilities include:

  • Be the 'go-to' person for the HME businesses on all credit related issues in the organisation to which you are aligned.

  • Provide insight and promote key stakeholder engagement for the credit management function.

  • Ensure controls and reports are in place according to HME policies and procedures.

  • Manage and oversee the FSSC teams where appropriate, checking that processes are being followed and investigations are being completed.

  • Ensure customers pay to terms and pursue overdue invoices whilst maintaining positive customer relationships. Minimise the risk of bad debt.

  • Liaise with the FSSC ensure efficient cash management and maintain clean AR ledgers.

  • Analyse data, business processes, and customer issues to assist the business and FSSC with the reconciliation of accounts.

  • Assist and support any legal proceedings if necessary.

  • Support the creation of O2C output by providing timely data and commentary.

  • Identify, suggest and implement continuous improvement measures for the credit function.

  • Respond to internal customer queries and provide local credit administrative support.

  • Work with the Sales teams to assess and calculate appropriate dealer credit limits, liaising with the dealers to obtain additional securities when necessary, in line with HME Credit Policy.

  • Identify improvements to credit processes and assist in the implementation of such improvements where appropriate.

  • Provide support to other Pan-E branches

  • Assist with special projects, as defined by management.

  • Any other relevant tasks, as directed by the line manager.

    Credit control experience in a company making international sales is preferred.

  • Experience of managing a remote credit process within a FSSC.

  • Knowledge of international payment methods, securities and trade credit insurance is beneficial.

  • Languages: Swiss German, French, German

  • Systems and process knowledge in O2C and SAP fields.
