Please note - the location for this role could potentially be basedacross Humber North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Dental Commissioning Team in NHS England andImprovement (North East & Yorkshire) has an exciting opportunity to work inits Yorkshire and the Humber locality. The Dental team are responsible for the commissioning, contracting, development and performance management ofall primary, community and secondary care dental contracts within its locality. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can work as part ofthe wider team to ensure services for patients are to the highest standard. Thepost holder will have excellent communication skills, be able to analyse,interpret and present information in an accessible manner. Whilst team workingskills are key, being able to work independently and manage multiple demandsand priorities are Contract Support Officer you will beresponsible in supporting the Contracts managers in all contracting mattersacross the three ICB's flexible. As Contract SupportOfficer you will be responsible in supporting the Contracts managers in allcontracting matters across the three ICB's flexible. This is a new role withinthe Dental team that will allow the postholder to gain a greater understanding ofthe Dental agenda working on a number of portfolios. Main duties of the job AsContract Support Officer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic teamin robust contract management and commissioning of Dental services acrossYorkshire and Humber. The post holder will : Support Contract Mangers in managinga portfolio of projects and workstreams. Work with teams to ensure thattasks / projects are planned, managed and delivered effectively, working acrossthe full team to enable effective and efficient skill mix. Support and inform the prioritisationof work, by providing high quality project management support, includinganalysis of complex information, risk assessment, timed action plans,communications and stakeholder management. Ensure accurate and opencommunication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals,drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the effective management ofspecific tasks, reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functionsand projects., The successful candidate willbe able to Work effectively within the wider team. Wok within the regulatory framework for dentalcontracts and understand contracting and commissioning issues. Collaborate with colleagues internally andexternally to ensure the organisations mandatory functions, initiatives andservices are delivered within agreed timescales. Support best practice, service improvement andcontractual compliance. Work with the BSA and other systems relating tothe administration and management of dental contracts. Provide Contract reports and data when required. Support commissioning of projects and supportwith procurement acing in accordance with standard financial instructions andorders. Support in the day to day range of contractmanagement matters

  • Significant administrative experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services

  • Previous experience in a similar role in the public sector or within the NHS

    The Yorkshire and Humber(Y&H) Dental Commissioning Team is hosted by Humber and North Yorkshire(HNY) Integrated Care Board (ICB) but works across the 3 ICB areas of HNY,South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
