Contracting Officer Representative - We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivatedindividual to join a premier team of Contracting Officer Representatives at the 48th Civil EngineerSquadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath, United KingdomWe are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of inspecting, reviewing andverifying contractors work efforts, reports, plans and invoices for the installation service contracts.Why RAF Lakenheath:Located in the heart of Suffolk, RAF Lakenheath is home to the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron.This base is pivotal in maintaining international security and fostering strong alliances betweenthe US and UK. Our team is dedicated to excellence, innovation, and the highest standards ofoperational readiness., You will be responsible for serving as a Contracting Officer Representative for service contractson the installation. You will maintain the contract file system from development, pre-award, postaward,and termination or closure of contract. You will determine need for contractupdates/changes, estimates cost, and develops contract Performance Work Statementdocumentation. Also, you will serve as the point of contact between the contractor and customer .The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, CAT B valid driver'slicense is required. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a fixed schedule Mon-Fri where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with theorganization's flexible working policies., You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicableUS and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilianaircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance ofofficial duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, andyou may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriateto the grade and skill set of the incumbent. You must be able to communicate effectively bothorally and in writing. This position may require working outside during wet/cold weather.Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings,weekends, and/or holidays. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or proprietaryinformation in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; must obtain andmaintain the appropriate security clearance. In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act,1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial DisclosureReport, upon appointment and annually thereafter. Required to obtain and maintain ContractingOfficer Representative (COR) certification.All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
You will have the knowledge of the mission, operational goals, and objectives in relation toContracting Officer Representative duties and administrative responsibilities. Extensiveknowledge of the full range of performance evaluation methods, surveillance plans andtechniques, and principles, procedures, and regulations as related to surveillance of contractorperformance and contract file maintenance; Knowledge of and experience using typical officecomputer equipment and software for the input of data and to produce correspondence, email,and generate metrics and periodic reports. You will show ability to interpret technical plans andspecifications sufficient to provide sound guidance related to performance, utilization, operation,and maintenance issues; Ability to learn and apply the various government and agencyregulations and laws that apply to the work of this position; Ability to communicate effectively,both orally and in writing. You will also have skill in developing positive and productive workingrelationships with coworkers, contractors and higher level supervisory and managerial staff.,
- OR Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such degree
